About me
An ACA qualified finance professional who founded Rooted with a vision of offering owner managed businesses a strategic business partner who has walked in their shoes and successfully restructured, grown and implemented success planning for business owners. I also sit on the Board of several businesses as advisor and am well placed to offer PE firms board advisory for their portfolio companies.
I trained and qualified as a chartered accountant within the accountancy services profession, which exposed me to all aspects of businesses from tax, audit, bookkeeping, forecasting, budgeting, corporate structures and consolidations, and a vast array of systems of controls. My subsequent career move as in-house Global CFO of a multinational consultancy firm based in London, enabled me to successfully put my skills into practice.
In 2020, my move to Nigeria, working as managing director of an owner managed manufacturing business gave me significant experience in the ever-challenging Nigerian market, and positioned me as the reliable partner for owners going through the same business transition.
I have worked in a variety of industries from advertising and consultancy to manufacturing, retail and even banking and shipping. With each new industry I have rapidly understood the niche operational and financial specifics of the sector and successfully added value.
I now sit on the Board of Directors of a few businesses, and work closely with PE firms.
